Brittney Griner is opening up about her failed marriage to Glory Johnson.

Just days after the 24-year-old WNBA star filed for an annulment to end her short-lived union to the Colorado Springs native, Griner sat down for a candid interview with ESPN in which she opens up about her wife's unexpected pregnancy announcement, her domestic violence arrest and emotionally admits that tying the knot may not have been the best decision.

"Prior to us getting married, I knew I didn't want to ... I shouldn't have went through with it," Griner, who filed to annul her one-month marriage just one day after Johnson announced she was expecting, said. "You know, sometimes you feel pressured into things, and I went along with it. And I know I shouldn't have. It was a huge mistake. I just knew it was a mistake."

Griner and Johnson tied the knot last month, two weeks after the basketball stars were arrested on suspicion of assault and disorderly conduct after police responded to a domestic dispute at their new home outside of Phoenix. Following their arrest, the two were suspended by the WNBA for the first seven games of the season.

"Walk away," Griner replied when asked what she would do differently the night of the arrest. "No matter what just walk away...domestic violence is never okay no matter what the situation is."

With regards to her wife's pregnancy announcement, Griner admitted she was "surprised" by Johnson's social media post.

"It was definitely a surprise. It's very early. It's too early to post or say anything about it and I was surprised," she said.

She later broke down in tears when asked how she would describe these past few months and simply replied "emotional."

Going forward, Griner hopes to "submerge" herself in basketball and says she's "counting down the next six games until I can get back on the court."
