Victoria Siegel, the 18-year-old daughter of Queen of Versailles stars David Siegel and Jackie Siegel, died Saturday after being found unresponsive in the family's Windermere, Fla., home. Orange County sheriff's spokesman Jeff Williamson confirmed her death to The Orlando Sentinel and said she was found unresponsive by at the family's Seagull Island mansion on Green Island Cove just after 2 p.m. She was taken to Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, where she was pronounced dead.
The medical examiner is still determining the cause and manner of her death.
"The victim's father has informed investigators that he will be making a statement in the coming days regarding the death of his daughter and is requesting privacy at this time," Williamson told the newspaper. Jackie, meanwhile, issued a statement on Sunday. "It is with great sadness that we ask you to respect our privacy during this tragic time and the loss of our beloved daughter, Victoria," she wrote on Facebook. "Thank you all for your prayers and for your support. As more information comes out the family will share it, until that time there is no comment."
The billionaire couple and their eight children most recently appeared on ABC's Celebrity Wife Swap June 3. Jackie switched homes with actress Juliet Reeves London, wife of Party of Five star Jeremy London. David is the founder of time-share company Westgate Resorts and owns the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino and the Cocoa Beach Pier. Jackie was Mrs. Florida America in 1992 and sits on the Westgate board. The Siegels are perhaps best known for starring in Lauren Greenfield's 2012 documentary, Queen of Versailles, which followed the couple as they built a second 90,000-square-foot mansion, which they dubbed Versailles House. They hope to complete it by David's 80th birthday in May 2016.
After the documentary was released, David sued Greenfield for "false and defamatory statements." However, he lost the lawsuit in March 2014 after an arbitrator ruled that the couple "actively promoted" the film. However, the Siegels beat a counterclaim over the rights to a follow-up film on their life stories.
