Rob Kardashian had to do a double take when he first saw Caitlyn Jenner on the cover of Vanity Fair's July issue. As his sister Kim Kardashian explained to Access Hollywood at the CFDA Awards in New York City Monday night, "It was so funny because all the girls, we knew that Caitlyn was shooting this but my brother had no idea." Kim added that she sent a photo of Caitlyn "on a mass text to everyone, and my brother was on it, and he goes, 'Kim, why are you sending me this? Who is this woman? And why do I care?' And I was like, 'Rob, that's Bruce! That's Caitlyn!'"

"He was like, 'Oh, my god! She's beautiful!' And then he called her and they had a love-fest and it was so cute," Kim said. "But the moment was so funny."

(With the release of her Vanity Fair cover, Caitlyn has chosen to publicly identify as a woman and E! News will refer to her using female pronouns. In stories published prior to this date, Caitlyn was referred to as Bruce and male pronouns were used.)

It was a big day for both Kim Caitlyn.

"My Glamour cover that came out today is the same hairstylist [Oribe] that did the Vanity Fair shoot as well, so we share glam tips," she said with a laugh. Asked whether she gave Caitlyn any advice, she said, "Practice by yourself to figure out how you feel most comfortable. She figured it out! It looks amazing."

What did Kim think of the cover?

"She looked so beautiful," she told E! News. "I'm so proud of her and she's so inspiring. She wants to help others and get a good message out there."

Meanwhile, several of Kim and Rob's siblings—including Kendall Jenner and Khloé Kardashian—have shown their support for Caitlin via social media.

Supermodel and family friend Gigi Hadid also opened up to E! News backstage, telling Fashion Police co-host Brad Goreski, "The whole family is beyond excited and Kendall lights up when she talks about it."
