Caitlyn Jenner has broken a Twitter record with her new account!

In about four hours, Caitlyn's account became the fastest growing Twitter account to reach 1 million followers. Not only did Caitlyn reach new heights in followers, her name quickly became a top trending topic on Twitter.

The previous record holder for this milestone of fastest growing Twitter account was President Barack Obama, who began tweeting from his account on May 18. It took POTUS about five hours to reach 1 million followers.

(With the release of her Vanity Fair cover on June 1, Caitlyn has chosen to publicly identify as a woman and E! News will refer to her using female pronouns. In stories published prior to this date, Caitlyn was referred to as Bruce and male pronouns were used.)

Caitlyn now holds the Guinness Book world title taking 4 hours and 3 minutes to break the record, and set a new milestone.

Jenner has set the record with a mere two tweets, and her bio is simple: "I'm so happy after such a long struggle to be living my true self. Welcome to the world Caitlyn. Can't wait for you to get to know her/me."

Caitlyn currently isn't following anyone on the account, and at this time according to the Twitter data at 1:14 EDT, there were at least 11,000 tweets a minute mentioning Caitlyn.

Jenner has also joined Instagram and Facebook, where she will be sharing more images and messages on her journey. Caitlyn's family have tweeted their support.
