Sorry, California! Nostradamus and a YouTuber Say Huge Earthquake Will Hit Today

But San Andreas wins!

Almost 500 years ago Nostradamus, aka Michel de Nostredame, prophesized that "…hail will fall larger than an egg." This of course translates into a massive 9.8 earthquake in California on May 28 at roughly 4 p.m.

As skeptical as we may be, he did (sort of) predict the rise and fall of Hitler and the 9/11 attacks (cue Twilight Zone theme). You can read more about his predictions on his reputable Wikipedia page.

This "seer" paved the way for a YouTuber in the Netherlands named Frank to record a 24-minute video about why today could be California's demise. "I received an important message directly from spirit," he says. "There is going to be a major event on the West Coast. I asked what that meant, but I didn't receive an answer."

Here is what these two are drawing from. Nostradamus wrote the following in the early 1500s:

The trembling so hard in the month of May,
Saturn, Capricorn, Jupiter, Mercury in Taurus:
Venus also, Cancer, mars, in Virgo,
Hail will fall larger than an egg.

Makes sense, right? Well, it actually does if you watch the video.

The video explains where our planets are now, on this day, May 28, 2015. They do in fact align with what Nostradamus predicted: Saturn, Capricorn and Jupiter are aligned, and Mercury is in Taurus; Venus is in Cancer and Mars is in Virgo. But what does that mean?

According to the passage, "trembling so hard" will happen.

So if you're in California reading this now, Nostradamus and the Netherlander were wrong. And well, uh, if they're right, almost 40 million people are now dead—but just in time for all you non-Californians to go see San Andreas which comes out tomorrow (smart marketing tactic) so you can get a feel for what the Californian rubble would look like.
