Max Greenfield is checking into Ryan Murphy's FX show American Horror Story: Hotel, the fifth season of the hit series that also stars fellow newcomer Lady Gaga.
The 34-year-old actor is best known for his role as Schmidt in the FOX sitcom New Girl and also starred in the network's comedy series The Mindy Project, which is moving to Hulu next season. Murphy, 49, announced his casting for American Horror Story: Hotel on Monday, Memorial Day.
"This October, Max Greenfield (like you've never seen him) is checking in to the hotel….but not checking out. #AHSHotel," the executive producer tweeted.
"Thank you @MrRPMurphy .....It's ON! #AHSHotel," Greenfield replied.
She and Greenfield join returning stars such as Kathy Bates, 66, and Sarah Paulson, 40, as well as fellow newbies Cheyenne Jackson, 39, and Wes Bentley, 36, and Matt Bomer, 37, who guest starred on the previous season, American Horror Story: Freak Show.
The 29-year-old pop singer, who constantly changes up her look, recently had her brown hair dyed back to platinum blond for her role. She chronicled the process on Instagram.
