Oof. ABC's Bachelorette promo has us feeling all kinds of emotions. Partly because it looks like a wild and crazy season. But also, we just can't help but feel a little sympathetic toward the new Bachelorette, Kaitlyn. Just us?

In the official promo for what's ahead, we see that much, MUCH drama is made over the fact that she apparently slept with one of the guys—and apparently fairly early on in the process. (Not in the final episodes and not in the fantasy suite, anyway.) This lead to many on social media calling her some…not kind words. And when Kaitlyn came into our E! News studio, we had to get her take on the matter.

"I just feel like what world are we living in," Kaitlyn said (watch the video above). "It's 2015. The Kardashians talk about sex on the show all the time. I think it's just a big deal because it's The Bachelorette and they've never really gone there. It's just been this secret world in the fantasy suite."

When asked why she thought so much was made of her having sex, when lots of Bachelors have had sex in past seasons, she just remarked,  "I have no answer to that. I would love to know. It's just the world we live in."

Hmmm…But is it? Because from where we're sitting, there seems to be a pretty unfair standard here. Anyone who has followed The Bachelor closely from the beginning knows that most of the men have had sex on the show—some with more than one woman (we're talking multiple). We just didn't always see it. Thanks to some editing, the guys came out looking pretty respectable in the end, most of the time. (No comment re: Juan Pablo.)

So now, when we see the supertease largely hinging on the fact that there is so much drama surrounding her sleeping with one of the guys—and the guilt she felt after doing so, we just…have questions. But of course, we will be watching every episode to see how it all unfolds.

And despite what she says in the Bachelorette supertease, Kaitlyn told us she has no regrets about the season, really. Even when it comes to sleeping with the guy in question (she won't name who, because that would be a spoiler). "I don't think it was a mistake, the decision I made. I think the timing probably wasn't the best, just because, I mean, there are other relationships developing, but just the timing wasn't the best."

She's also confused as to why people think all the kissing is any big deal at all. (The promo showed her kissing lots of guys, and joking to Amy Schumer she had "already kissed them all.")

"What is a relationship without the physical part?" Kaitlyn mused to us. "To feel chemistry with somebody has a lot to do with being physical. I don't know why that's such a shock to people! I'm like, ‘After how many seasons of The Bachelor and Bachelorette are people going to realize that people are going to make out?' It's a thing."

As for her surprising relationship now with Britt, how Nick Viall ended up coming on the show and more, press play on the video below…
