Well, here it is: David Letterman's final Late Show entrance.

We actually watched this video sort of hoping he would just never come out. Maybe, just maybe, if Letterman never actually appears on that stage, he won't retire, and we won't have to say goodbye to a guy who's always been there for us for the past thirty-two years.

When we saw him sprint across the background, our next thought was, "if he's spry enough to do that, maybe he doesn't have to retire after all!"

Then, we found ourselves angry at that audience. Why aren't they dressed better? How dare they manage to get tickets to David Letterman's final episode and some of them are wearing jeans? Don't they know where they are?!

So essentially, we're cycling through all the stages of grief today, and we are going to need your respect at this difficult time.

Join us as we mourn The Late Show with David Letterman with a few of our favorite moments and by taking a look at all the celebs who came out for tonight's star-studded finale, and then head to the comments with your own!

The final Late Show with David Letterman airs tonight at 11:35 p.m. on CBS.
