The Jane the Virgin star constantly impresses us with her class, wisdom and all-around confidence every time she opens her mouth. Could she be any more perfect? Nope. No, she cannot!
When E! News caught up with Rodriguez on the CW TV Upfronts red carpet in New York City, Kristin Dos Santos told her exactly that, and once again, she shut it down by giving us her amazing take on body image, crediting her parents for instilling good values in her.
"I grew up with two amazing people in my life," Rodriguez says. "My parents were so phenomenal when it came to body image and to beauty and being very comfortable in your own skin."
Yasss, queen! And while that can certainly be hard when you're a celebrity walking red carpets every weekend, Rodriguez makes sure that she keeps it real and grounded.
"I did not wake up like this! But I do love what I look like when I do wake up in the morning," she says. "I have that balance to know that I'm comfortable in my skin the way god made me and then I'm also comfortable getting did and having fun and playing dress-up and knowing that those two are different and being comfortable in both. It's very exciting. But also, we create body image. We're the ones who create. We decide. Just like we decide trends, just like we decide everything in this world."
