Watch: Nastia Liukin Takes Big Lessons From "DWTS"

Yeah, we're still very upset over Dancing With the Stars' elimination last night.

On Tuesday's show, we were shocked and displeased to see Nastia Liukin and Derek Hough ousted from the ABC reality hit in the semi-finals. In fact, we might have been more displeased than the couple!

After Monday night's show, which saw a recovering Derek returning to fully dance in a beautiful routine choreographed by head judge Len Goodman, Nastia told E! News, "That was the best way I could've got to end this experience."

DWTS dancer Sasha Farber stepped in to perform with Nastia for the last two weeks after Derek suffered an injury, and the gold medalist was happy to dance with Derek again before her journey on the show ended.

"For me to be able to dance with Derek one last time was really special," she said, "and I thought no matter what happens today, I'm so thankful for this incredible journey and to share it with Derek."

Used to focusing on scores and nailing her routines with precision during her career as an Olympic gymnast, Nastia said Derek "taught me to just live in the moment and really enjoy the journey and the moment that we had [on Monday night] was something that was so special and that I'll take with me."

Now that her time on DWTS has come to an end, Nastia said it's time for her to focus on her schoolwork again, as she's currently finishing up a semester at NYU. Yep, she competed in the semi-finals during finals week. "I have four finals to take now and two more papers to write!"

As for Derek, who seriously injured his toe and ankle earlier this season, the fan-favorite pro told us he's "recovering" and will be "at full strength" for his upcoming Move Live Tour, which also features his sister and DWTS judge Julianne Hough. "It's going to be an incredible show," he said. "I'm going to be at full strength really soon. I've cut my recovery in time in half!"

DWTS airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
