Best proposal ever?!

Melissa Dohme thought she was throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at Monday night's Tampa Bay Rays baseball game. Little did she know that her boyfriend Cameron Hill had the surprise of a lifetime waiting for her.

With a smile on his face, the firefighter-paramedic handed his girlfriend the baseball. But before she could wind up her arm, Hill got down on one knee to propose. And lo and behold, the baseball had "Will you marry me?" written on it.

As you can imagine, a round of applause immediately filled the stadium after Dohme immediately said yes. Luckily, this is only the beginning to this special love story.

The pair first crossed paths on Jan. 24, 2012 during some difficult circumstances. Dohme had been stabbed 32 times by her ex-boyfriend and it was Hill who found her visibly injured.

"It was so bad. You couldn't tell she was blonde," Hill told the Tampa Bay Times back in 2013. "For some reason, I didn't think it would be the last time I was going to see her."

"I had this feeling about him," Dohme later shared with ABC News. "I don't even want to be upset about what happened to me because I met Cameron out of it. So I can't even look at is as anything bad anymore."

Woke up this morning only to be living my dream! And you know "I got a Gold & Diamond Source diamond!" The one and only!...

Today, Dohme remains an advocate for domestic violence survivors and represented Hands Across the Bay at Monday's baseball game. She also remains grateful to be "living my dream" with a supportive and loving fiancé.

"He made up a huge plan and I HAD NO IDEA. None. Zip. Nada! 10000% surprised and I'm blown away. So in love," she wrote on Facebook. "THIS was not even in my frame of mind. He got me...big time!! I love you so much, my fiancé! Cameron Hill."
