Domino's Pizza, Twitter OrderingDomino's

This is pretty cool, we guess. But we'll be more impressed when we can get food to our door simply by grunting. Maybe one day.

You might have noticed that all day on Tuesday, Domino's Twitter account did nothing but tweet the pizza emoji, which to us was standard Twitter behavior because every other tweet we post uses the smiling poop emojo but we digress.

The reason for all the pizza? Domino's is soon rolling out a "tweet-to-order" system. You read that right. U.S. customers will be able to tweet to order a pizza. And they don't even have to tweet a complete sentence; just the pizza emoji. We're sure that there will be steps to take before you can order a pizza using just one single emoji, like setting up an account and/or preferences, but still…this is America at its most America-y.

"It's the epitome of convenience," CEO Patrick Doyle told USA Today. "We've got this down to a five-second exchange. We want to make it as easy as possible for people to order from us, and this is pretty darned easy."

Um, that's still five seconds too long to wait for pizza.

Still, if Domino's is successful and this doesn't turn into a huge PR disaster (fingers and toes crossed), then imagine the future possibilities. Tweeting the French fries emoji to get McDonald's delivered! Tweeting the cat emoji to start a pet adoption process! Tweeting the eggplant emoji to…well, you get the idea.

This idea is so exciting that we decided to try it out on our significant other via text and well, it could have gone better…
