The Real Housewives of New Jersey star announced on Instagram Monday that she was about to get plastic surgery. "Wish me luck! Following the Dr's orders... After 13 years they say it's always best to switch out your breast implants :-) so here we go… I know i'm in good hands with @drfiorillo," she said.
It appears the 36-year-old "On Display" singer went in for a consultation about four weeks ago. "Great to see Melissa," Dr. Michael Fiorillo, who works in New Jersey and New York, wrote in an Instagram caption.
Melissa has not said much about going under the knife in the past, but based on her Instagram caption, it seems she had a breast augmentation when she was in her early 20s, a few years before she had her first child, Antonia, 9, with husband Joe Gorga. The two are also parents to Gino, 7, and Joey, 5.
Of course, Melissa isn't the only Real Housewives of New Jersey star to get plastic surgery. Her currently incarcerated sister-in-law Teresa Giudice discussed her own surgically enhanced chest in 2010, telling Steppin' Out she never minded "her little boobies" until she had kids. "I was an A-cup, and I liked them. They were perky. I didn't mind being small," she said. "But after I breast-fed, they looked different. I looked at them and went, 'Ewwwwww.' They were deflated. I was just a big nipple."
After getting a boob job, Teresa said, "I'm much more confident with my body now."
Former cast member Kathy Wakile copped to getting a nose job and plumping her lips, while Jacqueline Laurita confessed to getting a neck lift and tummy tuck.
During an October 2014 appearance on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen asked Caroline Manzo if she's ever altered her appearance via plastic surgery. "We've got this so much. Everyone watched Manzo'd with Children and wants to know what you've had done," he explained. Caroline laughed and told the late-night host, "You know, if I was to have gotten something done, I would look better than this!" So, what's her secret? "I've lost weight and I'm at peace."
