A Bravo reunion isn't complete without someone walking off.

And sure enough, it happened Sunday night during Real Housewives of Atlanta when NeNe Leakes couldn't sit through another minute onstage. But before you assume this was just another fight or confrontation, the moment had far deeper meaning.

While reliving the famous group therapy session, Dr. Jeff Gardere began to explain NeNe's past issues with abandonment. As it turns out, it was a bit too much to handle.

"I don't have anything to say. I can't," she said while walking away in tears. "I can't talk about my mom."

With support from Cynthia Bailey, Phaedra Parks and Porsha Williams, NeNe was able to compose herself, but not before the truth came out about her childhood.

Gregg Leakes revealed that NeNe's mom had five children at a young age. She then decided to give NeNe and her brother up to live with her aunt. As a result, it's "bugged" NeNe to never know why her mom chose her to leave.

"I just think maybe I have been misunderstood somewhere along the line," NeNe shared. "I just think that sometimes people think that I haven't been through anything in my life and I don't talk about some of the things I've been through in my life. It's just really hard to talk about my mom. "

Instead of more fighting and instigating, the group came to an understanding and dare we say peaceful resolution.

Cynthia called NeNe a "survivor" while Kenya Moore even recognized her pain. "She tries to stay so strong, but even the strongest are the most vulnerable."

"We share a sisterhood," NeNe explained before the entire group embraced in a group huge. "We are on this journey together and it's great to know the people who you work with everyday can be there for you."
