Beyoncé's show-stopping Givenchy look at the 2015 Met Gala may have had more inspirations than anyone realized. Beyoncé included.

Serbian pop star Jelena Karleusa (the same one who said Kim Kardashian totally ripped off her street style) put together a new collage to show how many times Beyoncé has borrowed from her look book over the years, including last night. Still others realized that Bey could easily have been channeling the late Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, who wore a similar mesh-and-bead look at the 1997 MTV Video Music Awards.

And now yet another eagle-eyed observer has nailed it yet again.

"Jay-Z and Beyonce's 'Coming to America' Zamunda chic look was f--king powerful at the Met gala last night," "thefatjewish" captioned a split on Instagram that showed an uncanny resemblance between Beyonce's look and that worn by the amiable princess whom Eddie Murphy's Prince of Zamunda is originally supposed to marry in the 1988 hit Coming to America.

Whatever kind of food you like...

Consider the Internet thoroughly charmed, and even the actress who played the ready-to-hop-on-one-foot royal took notice.

What an honor to be photo framed next to my fav singer @Beyonce! That was 27 years ago for me & she's now! #METGALA2015

"What an honor to be photo framed next to my fav singer @Beyonce!" wrote Vanessa Bell Calloway, whose later film credits included Love Don't Cost a Thing and Cheaper by the Dozen.  ="That was 27 years ago for me & she's now! #METGALA2015."

So even though Beyoncé brought the high-ponytail, midriff-baring, jeweled-all-over look back, it was apparently already timeless!
