Remember when the Met Gala was about, um, what people were wearing? Well, now it's kind of about what they aren't.
That's right: The age of the naked dress is alive and apparently here to stay, if these sexy ladies at the 2015 Met Gala have anything to say about it. We mean, tonight was somewhat of a butt-off—so let's review the assets, shall we?
In the booty arena, Jennifer Lopez stunned in a red, iridescent Atelier Versace confection with sheer illusion panels, most notably on the sides of her bodacious derrière. Lopez is somewhat of a trailblazer in the naked dress domain (if her 2000 Grammys look is any indication)—so this number is, well, not so much a surprise. (Not to say our jaws didn't still unhinge, however!)
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wowed us in a nude-effect dress, also by Atelier Versace. While it wasn't naked in the see-through sort of way, it was second-skin enough to make us think, well, body. And that cut-out bodice...so hot right now.
Kim Kardashian, meanwhile, took to the red carpet in a floor-sweeping Roberto Cavalli gown that was pretty much sheer all-over. While we're used to Kim's nearly naked looks, this one was particularly spectacular (and unapologetically sexy).
That said, Kim's dress reminded us of someone...who then took to Instagram and reminded us why she's called the Queen. Yes, just when we thought the carpet was done, Beyoncé happened. We're still a little speechless, to be honest: The singer's insanely sexy, all-over sheer Riccardo Tisci by Givenchy gown was not only a showcase for her incredible figure, but maybe the best naked dress of all time. (We'll leave that final verdict up to you, of course.)
