Whelp, we didn't think it was possible but Sarah Jessica Parker just topped her 2013 Met Gala headpiece—you know, the one that Jennifer Lawrence couldn't resist playing with. (See below in case you forgot.)

SJP showed up on the red steps of the Met with a Philip Treacy headdress that, well, we don't even know how to describe—so feast your eyes on the video above. And OK, here's the thing, if it was anyone else we'd be giving some serious side eye, but SJP knows how to rock some elaborate headwear, as she's proved on many a red carpet before.

And, oh, by the way, she's wearing an H&M gown with printed trim and a long, floor-sweeping train (not that anyone can focus on the dress when there's a flame-inspired crown at hand!).

But seriously, that Mohawk-like confection from the 2013 Met Gala still commands our attention. Sarah Jessica has worn headpieces to premieres too, so we take it that more than trying to make a statement, she's just a fan of over-the-top toppers.

And we're already seeing that headdresses will be huge tonight: Actress Selena Gomez (with a massive orchid hairpiece) and designer Tabitha Simmons (in a gold, goddess-like confection) are sporting them as well.

What do you think of SJP's floral headwear?
