Best Looks of the Week, 5/1

If there's one thing these women have in common it's that they're all class acts. Oh, and that whole impeccable style thing!

This week, our eyes were on Cate Blanchett, who wowed at the Giorgio Armani 40th Anniversary Silos Opening in—what else?—Armani Privé on April 30. (So this is how you do summer white.)

Salma Hayek brought the drama in an Elie Saab ball gown at the premiere of her new film The Prophet on April 27 in Beirut, Lebanon. She finished her look with a matching handbag and stunning diamond jewelery.

In the pretty in pink arena, Louise Roe, well, shut it down: The style maven's Monique Lhuillier midi (which she complemented with a Dee Ocleppo statement clutch) is giving us just the inspiration we need for wedding season (it's here!).

Michelle Obama looked positively regal in the deep purple Tadashi Shoji gown she wore to the White House State Dinner on April 28. (Another best look from FLOTUS this week? Her chic sunrise-printed Monique Lhuillier scuba coat and structured dress ensemble, which made us want to sport watercolor prints, too.)

And finally, Amal Clooney continued to own the street style realm in a monochrome, flower-printed Alexander McQueen mini with a striking red belt, which she donned for a family night out with George Clooney, her parents and her equally stylish sister Tala.
