Charles is still in charge and we're still very afraid.
Pretty Little Liars returns on Monday, June 2, and will deal with the immediate fallout from its biggest reveal ever: "A"'s identity. In the shocking season five finale, fans were introduced—sort off—to Charles DiLaurentis, the man behind the mask who has been terrorizing Aria (Lucy Hale), Spencer (Troian Bellsario), Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Emily (Shay Mitchell) via texts, death threats and cupcakes all these years.
And while we've still got a month-long wait until the season premiere, ABC Family has gifted us with the first promo for season six, which teases that this will be the "summer of Answers."
FINALLY! Except those answers are coming hand-in-hand with some scary s--t, people!
The teaser, which you can watch above in all its creepy glory thanks to a chill-inducing take on "Hush Little Baby," finds our Liars still trapped in the dollhouse, being terrorized by Charles. Oh, and it also reveals that Alison (Sasha Pieterse) gets out of jail as she manages to find the dollhouse.
As for the post-dollhouse-jail fallout ahead, Janel Parrish, whose character Mona may be suffering the most this season, according to the promo, told us, "It's going to get dark," teasing, "We are going to be punished for our actions for trying to escape from Charles and once we do escape, there are going to be some serious repercussions and scares, emotional as well as physical...they're all going to be messed up in different ways."
Looking even further ahead, fans can expect a major time-jump in season six as boss Marlene King exclusively revealed to E! News, "I did say we're going to do a four-year time jump and we will honor that before the end of season six. It's really exciting I can't wait to see the girls after they come back from college. It's going to be awesome."
PLL returns Tuesday, June 2 on ABC Family.
