Ben Hassett/VIOLET GREYKristen Wiig is funny (duh), but that's not all there is to the star.
The actress shows off a sexier side in her photoshoot for Violet Grey's The Violet Files, where she stuns in a series of images that show off her figure as she gives a brooding expression to the camera in outfits that either flaunt her gorgeous gams or a gracious amount of cleavage.
Wiig will also be showing a different side on the big screen soon, too. She is currently awaiting the release of her upcoming film, Welcome To Me, which will be released in theaters May 8. In the film, the blond beauty plays the lead role of Alice Klieg, a woman who wins the Mega-Millions lottery and immediately quits her psychiatric meds and buys her own talk show.
"I didn't want to make it too light. And that was hard because there are funny things in this movie but I never wanted it to seem like I was making fun of her," she says. "I was more nervous about the comedy in the film than I was the drama for that reason."
Speaking of nerves, Wiig drops trous in the movie and goes nude at one point. "Being naked in a film or on stage isn't always supposed to be sexy. It was the part and it felt right, so I did it," she explains.
"Of course you're nervous, and you know people are gonna make comments but if you care about that, your job instantly becomes more difficult. You have to do things for you."
And while the actress isn't always just a funnywoman, she doesn't seem too bothered by people expecting her to be funny off-screen, too, but worries about how it translates into the way she's viewed in her roles.
"I always say people know you how they know you and I think people know me probably from SNL and Bridesmaids," Wiig began.
"I've done a couple of things that have been dramatic and sometimes I get frustrated because...there was a scene I shot once where it was like, ‘oh this woman is so sad that she's doing this thing' and when we screened it people laughed.
"I was really nervous about that with [Welcome to Me] because I know that there's some really dark moments and there's some really funny moments and it's kind of up to the audience to interpret them."
