If you're anything like us, you're presumably getting a little anxious for Kate Middleton to give birth to her second child.

The Duchess of Cambridge is reportedly overdue, with the U.K.'s Telegraph reporting that the 33-year-old royal was expected to give birth on Thursday, April 23 (Middleton previously said she was due "mid to end" of April).

So, when can we expect royal baby No. 2 to arrive? According to the Telegraph, it's likely that Prince William's wife will be induced this week.

"The doctors don't normally wait for more than a week," a source whose children were born at the Lindo Wing (the hospital wing where Kate is expected to give birth) told the Telegraph. "They will probably already have been in touch with Kate and talked about which day would suit her best to go in and be induced if the baby doesn't arrive in the next couple of days."

Once Middleton enters the hospital, the Kensington Palace press office will release an announcement via email and will update its Twitter and Instagram accounts. Additionally, just like the birth of Prince George, a footman at Buckingham Palace will place a birth notice on an easel in the forecourt; the notice will include the baby's gender, weight and time of birth.

If Kate is indeed past her due date, then this will be the second time her baby-on-the-way has arrived late. The brunette beauty reportedly gave birth to little George three days past her due date and, as the Duchess herself previously said, "babies have their own agenda."

As for when its the right time to induce labor? "It's down to the individual consultant as to when it's appropriate to induce labor," Pat O'Brien, a spokesman for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, told the U.K.'s Telegraph. "But because it's such a safe procedure, particularly with women who have given birth before, they tend to be pretty relaxed about inducing any time after the due date if the mother is getting fed up."
