True, the 2015 ACM Awards red carpet did not disappoint. Except for one thing—Why did Taylor Swift skip the red carpet?!

Swift's noticeable absence aside, several ladies stepped up to the plate to school the fashion crowd. First up, Miranda Lambert dropped jaws everywhere in a plunging Bibhu Mohapatra design with a sultry side slit and whimsical train. In short, the sultry number was an instant hit.

Time for a double take—did Reese Witherspoon and Sofía Vergara's minis look strikingly similar to anyone else? The Hot Pursuit co-stars and ACM Awards presenters both wore little black dresses with sparkling metallic details. True, the dresses weren't exactly the same, with Reese's David Koma as a flirty fit-and-flare covered in mirrored crystals and Sofía's being a tighter peplum version. Regardless, the coincidence is just further proof that great style minds really do think alike!

Also in the best dressed league, Kimberly Perry held her ground in an enchanting sheer embroidered design, and Olivia Culpo rounded out the list of best dressed gal's with a classic white Alaïa gown.

Of course, not everyone hit a red carpet high note. Kimberly Schlapman fell flat in an eye-catching pink Reem Acra design, and Kelsea Ballerini just plain missed the mark with her awkward high-low creation. And Steven Tyler— oh, Steven Tyler. The rocker's funky pop art pants certainly made a statement, but who cares? It's quirky but hey, it's Steven!

Jamie Lynn Spears' heavily textured black gown came across as clunky and dated. And while her hair was a vast improvement from the enormous ‘do she sported at the 2014 CMA Awards, Kacey Musgraves' cotton candy-esque Monique Lhuillier dress came across as dull.
