Derek Zoolander has a son!
The really, really ridiculously good looking male model, played by Ben Stiller, has passed his golden genes on to the next generation. On Monday, the Zoolander 2 star Instagrammed a photo of himself with his onscreen offspring, played by Cyrus Arnold.
As you can see, Derek Jr. hasn't quite perfected his blue steel pose, and it seems unlikely his dashing daddy would've been the one to commission that bowl cut. Young Zoolander also looks less than thrilled to be cruising 'round town with his gorgeous guardian, but IRL, he's pumped to play the part!
Arnold reposted Stiller's Instagram photo to his own page, exclaiming, "It's out!!! I am playing Ben Stiller's son in 'Zoolander 2'!! So happy to share the news with all of you!! #zoolander2 #derekjr"
No word yet on who Derek Jr.'s mother might be! We're still in the process of discovering a lot about Zoolander 2—like whether Derek (Sr.) ever mastered the left turn.
Stiller certainly did prove, however, that he can still work a runway! The 49-year-old actor and Owen Wilson took Paris Fashion Week by storm last month when they strutted their stuff at Valentino's show to announce Zoolander 2.
"It was kind of surreal. It was sort of exciting," Stiller told E! News after the fact. "I mean, we've never done anything like that before, to be in an actual fashion show."
"That was kind of intimidating. You don't want to trip. You want to get to the end," he went on. "It's like Green Mile. It's really like that. There's no electric chair at the end. There's just starving models waiting for you, but it's definitely an intense experience."
Zoolander 2, which also features Will Ferrell, Penélope Cruz and plenty of celebrity and model cameos, is slated for a 2016 release.
