Val Chmerkovskiy just stole our hearts.

The pro dancer is partnered with Rumer Willis this season of Dancing With the Stars—they've been heating up the dance floor in case you've been living under a rock—and what he told E! News' Ali Fedotowsky will just make you say "aww!" and melt your hearts.

For the themed night of Most Memorable Year, Willis and Chmerkovskiy danced to Adele's "Turning Tables" and Willis shared her story about how her sisters Scout Willis and Tallulah Willis helped her deal with bullying in hopes of inspiring the audience to do the same.

"She's awesome. Listen, just like everybody else I knew her from the tabloids," Chmerkovskiy told us. "Obviously I'm familiar with her parents and the opportunity to get to know her and meet her, honestly I feel like I already won the season because of that. She's awesome; she's a great friend. Just on so many other levels besides the dance floor, I think she's such an incredible person. I'm glad that America gets to see that."

Willis had her mom and a special surprise visitor in the audience for her waltz that scored her a 35 out of 40. And her message for audiences? "There's always going to be people that don't like you, there's always going to be people that do like you. If you base your opinion and your value of yourself—whether it's good or bad—on what other people think you're going to be constantly searching outside yourself for love and validation and you're never going to be happy, whether it's in your career, in friendships or romantic relationships. It all has to from in you and then you can give love outwards."

Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays, 8 p.m. on ABC.
