Heat magazine asked the prime minister whether or not he was a fan of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, and while he might not watch the show, the answer he did give will surprise you nonetheless! "No, but I'm related to them," he dished.
Say what?!
Apparently Cameron is a distant cousin of Kim Kardashian & Co! "Did you know I'm 13th cousins with them?" he asked. It's safe to say no one knew that—or even expected it—Prime Minister. According to genealogy website Geni.com, the link between the pair comes via mutual ancestor Sir William Spencer, who was born in 1555.
Could this be an early April Fool's Day joke?! It's unclear, but aside from reality TV royalty Cameron also has some pretty famous other relatives: the Queen of England. Even though he doesn't watch KUWTK, Cameron insisted he would enjoy a family reunion.
"That would be great, thanks," he said when asked if he'd want to participate in one.
The British Prime Minister unintentionally made waves when he posted a selfie on Twitter while on the phone with President Barack Obama, so it's safe to say he's relatively in tune with popular culture!
"I've been speaking to @BarackObama about the situation in Ukraine. We are united in condemnation of Russia's actions," the politician wrote. Celebs were quick to parody the Twitpic, holding up random objects as phones to "talk" to the president! Rob Delaney opted for a tube of toothpaste while Patrick Stewart chose a container of Wet Ones wipes.
Others chose pieces of fruit or even animals to mock the British Prime Minister, but with his supposed relation to the Kardashians, who knows what the Internet will come up with this time!
