Scotty Smalls sure isn't small anymore!

That's because a fully grown New York Yankee (outfielder Brett Gardner) is portraying The Sandlot's star! Gardner and teammates Jacoby Ellsbury, Dellin Betances, C.C. Sabathia, Didi Gregorius and Brian McCann (as the Sandlot kids, of course) recreated a scene from the iconic 1993 baseball movie for MLB.com.

The fellas' acting chops aren't quite on par with their athletic talents, but what they lack in theatrical skill they more than make up for in charm. In this particular scene, Smalls (Gardner) swipes a baseball from his stepfather's office hoping to play with the other boys in his new neighborhood. He doesn't know, though, this particular ball is signed by the one and only Babe Ruth.

"You mean to tell me you went home and swiped a ball signed by Babe Ruth and brought it out here and actually played with it?" Headley asks.

Oh, yes. Gardner's pals are shocked, and they're even more horrified to discover that he thinks Babe Ruth is a woman. "Yeah, yeah, you keep telling me that," he says, "but who is she?"

You know these answers... "The Sultan of Swat," "The King of Crash," "The Colossus of Clout!" Babe Ruth!

Begin your "Great Bambino" chant here, because, yes Smalls, that's the same guy!

Watch the Yankees' Sandlot tribute for yourself in the clip above. Don't plan on any of these fellas to head to Hollywood just yet, though. They have pre-season games nearly every day, including one tonight against the Tampa Ray Rays, tomorrow against the Philadelphia Phillies, Saturday against the Baltimore Orioles and Sunday against the Houston Astros.

Monday's an off day, though, so perhaps if we're lucky the guys will recreate another iconic Sandlot scene!
