David Hasselhoff and Salt-N-Pepa Are Performing on American Idol—Prepare For Major '80s Flashbacks!

Exclusive: The former Baywatch star is set to present the envelope with the Fox reality hit's eliminated contestant tonight, and he'll be doing it in style

The Hoff is taking over American Idol!

David Hasselhoff is set to perform on the Fox hit reality series tonight (Wednesday, March 25), E! News can exclusively reveal. Wait, it gets even better: he's performing a medley of some of your favorite hits as part of the night's them: '80s Night! Totally tubular, right?! Oh, and we can also reveal that iconic rap duo Salt-N-Pepa will also be performing during the show. We. Can't. Even.

To help prepare you for the awesomeness you're about to witness go down on Idol's stage, we're sharing an exclusive message from the Hoff himself about tonight's big show, which you can watch above now!

"They've invited me to come back to give me recollections of the '80s," Hasselhoff says, before giving a major shout-out (and "Woo!") to the episode's other major special guest: Boy George, who will serve as the finalist's mentor!

The 11 contestants remaining in the competition are Adanna Duru, Clark Beckham, Daniel Seavey, Jax, Joey Cook, Maddie Walker, Nick Fradiani, Qaasim MiddletonQuentin Alexander, Rayvon Owen and Tyanna Jones. Unfortunately, only nine will get to perform for America's votes during tonight's show. 

In other Hasselhoff-related news, the  former Baywatch star will be joining the cast of Syfy's Sharknado 3 as Ian Ziering's father. And he's super excited about joining the franchise, recently saying on HuffoPost Live, "You know, it's the worst movie you have ever seen. The first one was the worst. The second one I think was even worse than the first. I'm so honored to be in Sharknado 3."

American Idol airs tonight at 8 p.m. on Fox.
