The American Idol judge gave the music-hopefuls a break from the stage as she stepped up to perform her latest single, "Feel the Light," on last's nights show. No booty popping, no shaking what her momma gave her—just a statuesque rendition of her ballad from the animated movie, Home. As she belted out her hauntingly beautiful new tune, the stage lights projected an angelic scene onto her Mariel Haenn white ball gown, illuminating the songstress as the canvas for a heavenly light show.
"Wow—Can we even continue the show after that?" a stunned Ryan Seacrest said after Ms. Lopez's breathtaking show.
Now the dress—this custom-crafted design all-white design featured a sweet off-the shoulder neckline and an overall regal effect. Not to mention the gown had a 20-foot circular train that engulfed the stage. No wonder she wasn't dancing around!
After her mesmerizing melody, the judge slipped back into something comfortable—a plunging embellished Elie Saab jumper. The queen of mini-dresses and super short ensembles took the opportunity to flaunt her invariably fit figure, styling the look with a cinched waist belt and nude pumps. And while the ball gown indeed caused an audience-wide jaw drop, it just wouldn't be American Idol without JLo rocking teeny-tiny couture item.
But really when you're JLo, it doesn't matter what you wear—not a garment exists that could make her look any less fabulous.
