Daniel Boczarski/Redferns via Getty ImagesWhile the media may be buzzing over the eyebrow-raising spring break photos taken of Patrick Schwarzenegger, Miley Cyrus certainly didn't give any indication that her relationship has hit a rough patch last night.
The "Wrecking Ball" beauty wowed fans at SXSW on Thursday with a surprise performance during the Mike WiLL Made-It & Friends concert, where she sang her hit "23" before belting out her hit party anthem "We Can't Stop," which were both produced by Mike WiLL Made-It. The two also teamed up with Future and Rae Sremmurd for "Throw Sum Mo," from the latter's album, SremmLife.
"This is Texas," Miley, who was clearly in good spirits with Schwarzenegger nowhere in sight, told the crowd. "I don't know how f--king high you are, but we're high as f--k up here."
Cyrus stunned during the set, sporting a sexy sequined camo-print dress and a matching denim jacket which she teamed with stacks of Chanel jewelry, yellow sunglasses and bright red lips.
"@mikewillmadeit L.I.T. #sxsw," the 22-year-old pop star captioned a pic.
Miley, who traveled to Texas with BFF Cheyne Thomas, was also seen hanging out with pal Zoe Kravitz as well as Victoria's Secret model Stella Maxwell.
The former Hannah Montanta star's performance comes on the heels of photos taken of Schwarzenegger cozying to a gal-pal in Cabo during his spring break trip, although the USC student has firmly denied the cheating speculation, telling his Twitter followers "he Would NEVER do anything" to Miley.
Patrick is "totally devastated and heartbroken," a source tells E! News of Schwarzenegger's state following the photo scandal. "He doesn't even know what to do with himself and just wants to hide from the world...He's so embarrassed and knows he screwed up."
Shortly after the images surfaced, Patrick returned to Malibu while Miley jetted to Texas and we're told she "isn't seeing Patrick."
And in case that wasn't enough drama for their relationship to weather, new images of Patrick hanging out with his ex-girlfriend in Cabo surfaced today.
However, despite how the pics may appear, a source insists to E! News that the exes are simply good friends, go to the same school and still run in the same circle.
We're told that the images of Patrick and his ex were taken the same day as the first set of headline-making shots, but the source continues to maintain that the pics were completely taken out of context and nothing happened between the two former flames.
The insider also says that Patrick would never cheat on Miley—he doesn't want to because they're really happy together—and his friends, including the girls he was photographed with in Mexico, are aware of his relationship. The source adds that everyone who knows Patrick and his pals think this whole thing has been blown out of proportion since it was just a college spring break.
As for Miley's current state of mind?
A separate source tells E! News that, as of yesterday, Miley had not broken up with Patrick. She is willing to "give him the benefit of the doubt," the insider says. However, the source adds that the new pics of Patrick and his ex may cause Miley to pull the plug on their romance.
Additionally, we're told that Miley and Mike WiLL Made It, who were falsely linked over the summer, are still just close friends, and Cyrus has no romantic interest in her producer pal.
