The Tony-winning actress and acclaimed voice of Elsa went and dyed her always-brunette tresses bright blond today, sharing the results of the transformation on Twitter Thursday evening.
"Look what me and my girl @jenytamera did today," she tweeted, giving a shout-out to stylist JT Franchuk. "Needed a change. Loving it! #brunettetoblonde#blondehairdontcare."
And what a change—while she looks lovely, Menzel is pretty much unrecognizable as a blonde.
While here's hoping the specifics of how this came to be are soon to follow, for now it appears that she didn't go full platinum, and also left a little leeway for the inevitably speedy root growth by leaving the top darker than the tips.
And is it possible she also got a drastic haircut? Or are her straightened locks simply tucked into her coat?
Either way... Way to let it go, Idina!
