After a whirlwind week, The X Factor New Zealand announced the two stars who were replacing Natalia Kills and Willy Moon.
Natalie Bassingthwaighte and I Am Giant's Shelton Woolright were named as the newest stars to join the hit singing competition show.
"Our two new judges have been announced! Can't wait to have Shelton and Natalie on the #XFactorNZ judging panel," the show shared on their official Twitter.
The two took to social media immediately following The X Factor went public with the news to share their excitement.
"Stoked just joined the @xfactornz family can't wait to meet @1stanwalker @melblatt @nataliebassing," Woolright wrote.
Meanwhile, Bassingthwaighte told her legions of followers: "So this just happened.. NEW JUDGE ON X FACTOR NEW ZEALAND is........,, ME!!! @xfactornz"
The casting news comes just days after Kills and Moon were fired from the show due to controversial (at best) comments regarding contestant Joe Irvine.
In an interview with MTV Australia, as quoted by Billboard, Kills stood by her extremely harsh words on the show.
"I feel like everyone needs to put the idea of it being a manufactured conspiracy theory behind them, there's really nothing to it," she said. "I love my husband with all of my heart, we'll stick together no matter what."
She added, "There are many sides to this story and I am not about to get an entire industry in trouble that has been going on for years and years entertaining the masses, so thank you absolutely everyone for your support."
