Kim Kardashian Illustrates That ''Being Blonde Is a Full Time Job'' With Scalp-Tingling Photo

E! star gets her second touch-up just two weeks after her initial dye job

It's like you can feel the peroxide burning into your scalp, huh?

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know—or at least assume—that going from Kim Kardashian's signature dark tresses to platinum blond is a tedious process, but you might not realize just how tedious it is.

Just a week (yes, seven days) after her second touch-up, the E! star shared another Instagram photo to show that she had to hit the dye once again to keep her locks looking fresh. Snapping a selfie in the midst of the process, North West's mama captioned the scalp-tingling picture, "Being blonde is a full time job!"

On Thursday, just two days after her last touch-up, the 34-year-old was photographed at LAX sporting black from tress-to-toe, and it seemed the star's natural dark roots were already growing out and visible around her middle part.

It was only on Monday of last week that the star got her most recent touch-up from hair colorist Frederic Mennetrier while in Paris. "It's hard out here for a platinum pimp!" she wrote on Instagram.

Celebrity colorist Lorri Goddard orginally made Kim's "#BlondAmbition" a reality. "I've always had this image of Madonna with platinum hair in my references folder on my computer and I've been waiting a long time to try the look," Kim told People. "I thought what better time than right now for Paris Fashion Week."

At this rate, we can expect to see another maintenance photo next Wednesday!
