Like mother, like daughter!
Talking excitedly about the $20 million Calabasas, Calif., home that she and husband Kanye West recently relocated to, Kim Kardashian acknowledged that it's really North West's world and she and Kanye are just living in it.
"Oh, it's like she's taken over already," Kim told E! News during a behind-the-scenes look at the making of her wildly successful Glu Mobile app game. "We have her playroom and she loves her room...She loves having her own space."
As does North's mom.
While their massive mansion was already standing when Kim and Kanye snatched up the property last summer, bit by bit it's getting to be an all-new house.
"Still a lot of work to do," Kim said about the massive renovation job underway, but "when it's done it will be amazing."
And though "everything" needs redoing, they're living in the reno zone—and it feels so good!
"We have to re-do my close, the bathroom, the kitchen," Kim told us. "So we're doing, like, section by section, but living there. It is so freeing, living in my own space.
"I've lived in a one-bedroom room at my mom's house that was so crazy-colorful that I was getting a headache every time I would go in the room. Imagine me, Kanye and my daughter, and we had a tiny closet for the three of us, and it just feels so good just to have my own space and my own bed."
Considering Kim's penchant for neutrals in the fashion department, we can only imagine what a trip it was to wake up in a more flamboyant space every day.
