The Flash and Arrow Stars Tease What's Ahead Using Only Emojis

Why use words when emojis are so much more fun?

We know, we know, how can we say that when words are our very trade? Well, you try resisting the adorableness of a little monkey covering his eyes and/or mouth and a smiling poop. You can't. And neither can the casts of The Flash and Arrow!

When we caught up with Stephen Amell, Emily Bett Rickards, Grant Gustin and more of the CW superhero hit series' stars at Paleyfest, we decided to have a little fun with them, asking  them to tease their character's upcoming storylines using only emojis. The results? Enlightening. And hilarious.

"For the tidal wave of emotions and circumstances that are about to ensue," Carlos Valdes explains of his symbolic choice. "When a tidal wave comes, it gathers up all of this energy and all of this momentum and mass as it moves forward, so I think that's pretty appropriate."

And we think Tom Cavanaugh's choice was pretty spot-on, given a recent costume unveiling that went down.

As for the "spicy" dancer choice Colton Haynes made, he simply explains it's because she's "wearing red!"

And it's pretty interesting that Haynes and Amell both chose the same emoji, as executive producer Marc Guggenheim teases "It's a neck and neck tie between Roy and Oliver's" journeys as the ones that will most surprise fans by season's end.

Our favorite pick though? Willa Holland's poop emoji, obviously. Thea Queen FTW!

The Flash airs tonight at 8 p.m., while Arrow airs tomorrow at 8 p.m. on the CW. You can watch the epic trailers shown at Paleyfest for both shows above (The Flash!) and below (Arrow!).
