Major power couple alert, people.

For once, we're not looking at Tamara Mellon's shoes—we're trying to check out that new engagement sparkler: The 47-year-old co-founder of Jimmy Choo is engaged to Michael Ovitz, who is the co-founder of the prominent celebrity management group Creative Artists Agency.

Mellon, who stepped down from the Chief Creative Officer role at Jimmy Choo in 2011 (and received an oh, reported $135 million payout), now helms her own namesake luxury lifestyle brand that includes clothing, handbags and (of course) shoes. The designer revealed her happy news in an interview with Hello.

"Yes, we're engaged," Mellon said. "In December, he surprised me with a beautiful ring. It wasn't entirely out of the blue because he kept saying, 'I've got something really important for you.' He first asked me to move in with him over a year ago, then I suppose he wanted to show his commitment."

Now let's talk about that ring! The designer has been spotted out with the cushion-cut sparkler (with a mega-wattage ring like that, we can only imagine the carat count).

As if a new engagement and wedding planning wasn't enough, the couple has another major life change in the works: Tamara revealed that they bought a property in New York City, where they both live, and are currently renovating.

"It's a long-term project—we're going to knock the whole building down and start again," Mellon told Hello. "We're really excited to have a project to work on together."

Well, congrats Tamara! No indication of what shoes the groom will be wearing, but we're guessing the bride may be decked in her own design.
