“Whenever I have a hiatus I try to do something a little bit different. And also just to shed characters,” January explained. “It’s a good change up. Not that the character I played on Last Man on Earth was traumatizing or something. I’m an artist and I get bored and I want to do something crazy. It’s not that crazy though it’s already faded. I always like to change it up.”

January Jones has officially joined the Pink Ladies.
On Thursday the Mad Men actress dyed her blond locks a cotton candy pink hue. She documented the transformation on Instagram by first posting a wet haired selfie mid-process with the caption: "Can you guess where I'm going with this? #backtomyroots"
Then a few hours later she uploaded the "after" photo, showing off her new light pink tresses (with hints of lilac, we might add) and joking "Call me Frenchie," in reference to the famous Grease character. You know the one.
Now this isn't the first time the 37-year-old has dyed her hair pink: Three years ago she sported rose gold highlights for a while. But do we think the actress' most recent inspiration to try it out again came from Nicole Richie? The Mad Men star's hair colorist Jennifer J—a member of the E! Style Collective—recently gushed over Richie's "stunning" hair color. Perhaps the idea for a rose tint bloomed from there so to speak.
