But now Dennis Hopper's done something really impressive: He's won over the French.
Following in the esteemed footsteps of, um, Jerry Lewis, Hopper was today named a commander in France's National Order of Arts and Letters (which is really a big deal over there).
As Hopper might say, c'est magnifique, man.
