Watch: What Floyd Mayweather Jr. Thinks of 50 Cent Betting on Fight

Floyd Mayweather Jr. definitely appears to be letting bygones be byones when it comes to last year's feud with 50 Cent, because he had nothing but nice things to say about him in a recent interview with E! News.

This may or not be because the rapper recently said he is betting $1.6 million on him to beat fellow boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao in what is expected to be an epic pay-per-view showdown at the MGM Grand in Los Angeles on May 2.

"Fifty is a cool guy," Mayweather told E! News on Wednesday at a press event for the fight. "You know, in the past, you hear certain things but, you know, it's not my job to focus on negative things. My job is just to be positive and be Floyd Mayweather."

Last summer, Fifty shared a video showing himself forgoing the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, which had been taken by scores of celebrities, and challenged Mayweather to read one page from a Harry Potter book in exchange for his $750,000 donation to charity. In response, the boxing champion posted a photo of two enormous checks, saying, "Read this."

During his chat with E! News, Mayweather also dished out nice words about his pal Justin Bieber, 21, who occasionally hangs out with him and is part of his Money Team promotion group, which 50 Cent had co-founded. He left the organization in 2012.

"Great kid, super talented," the boxing champion said about Bieber.

As for Pacquiao, well, Mayweather has nothing but shade. Watch the video above to find out why he thinks he'll beat him in the May 2 fight.

At the press conference, the two engaged in a practice run, with no fighting, just staring.

"Floyd has a good hand speed but his foot is not the same as his hand speed. But I have quick hand speed and I have good footwork, so it's a combination. That's one of my advantages," Pacquiao said in a recent ESPN interview. "He has good defense, but I have a very good plan."

"The Lord, my God that I'm serving, he will deliver him into my hands on May 2," he added.
