While Christina Aguilera may be a pop icon with seven albums under her belt, the 34-year-old singer's most important role in life is being a mom to daughter Summer Rain and son Max

"My children constantly inspire me," the Voice star gushed to E! News of her six-month-old baby girl with fiancé Matthew Rutler and seven-year-old son (whose father is Aguilera's ex-husband, Jordan Bratman). "And I love being at home and cuddling with them in my sweatpants. I learn so much from them, and every day is a new and fun adventure. I couldn't be more lucky to have Max and Summer, they are the lights of my life."

Aguilera spoke to E! News as part of her new fragrance campaign for her scent Woman, which she describes, as "sensual and rich" and was inspired by powerful females.

"All my scents are inspired by empowering women and helping allow them to embrace their sexuality..." she shared. "I wanted to celebrate all women, how hard we all work to balance all aspects of our lives and really all the strong women I have met over time inspired this fragrance."

Like most women, balancing work and motherhood is no easy feat for Christina, who is not only a powerhouse performer, but is also a coach on the reality singing competition show The Voice. She credits her ability to maintain a well-balanced life with the fact that she has "two sides" to her personality, allowing her to compartmentalize her work onstage and her role at home.

"The best thing is seeing my children's smiles everyday – knowing that they are happy makes me happy," the blond stunner revealed when asked what she loves most about being a mom. "We love to just get to lay in bed, cozy under the blankets and watch classic Disney movies. There are two sides to me, which I like to keep very separate. There is a performing Christina, and then there me as a mom. Its important for me to wear these different hats so I don't bring work home with me."

Luckily, Aguilera, who looks super slim just months after giving birth, has little Max to help with mommy duty.

"Max is such an amazing older brother! I couldn't be more proud of him," she gushed. "He really has a nurturing side to him and loves being Summer's big brother."

As for a piece of advice she plans to pass on to her darling little girl?

"I want her to know that she always has a voice, that she should never be afraid to speak her mind and that her opinion is valid," she said. "And I want her to know and feel more than anything that love surrounds her."

Aww.
