The Bachelor is going Dancing! ABC confirmed Chris Soules will be the mystery 12th contestant on the 20th season of Dancing With the Stars during Tuesday's episode of Good Morning America. Soules was on the morning talk show with his SPOILER! fiancée Whitney Bischoff after the big finale.
Soules joked his involvement was the worst kept secret contestant. "It's the worst, best secret ever," he said.
When the rest of the cast was announced, host Tom Bergeron joked the mystery contestant and Witney Carson's partner "couldn't ROSE so early." Get it? E! News previously reported Soules was joining the show, but now we have official word. It's common for Bachelors to take the dance floor after their final rose.
"I can dance better than I can sing," Chris said on GMA.
At the start of The Bachelor experience, Chris told us he was "open" to doing DWTS. "At this point, why not?" he said. "I went through The Bachelorette and never thought I'd do that and did it and it was a great experience. Now being the Bachelor, it's been an extraordinary experience...I'm open to a lot of opportunities, I'd be willing to consider these sort of things. But I'm going to do what's best for me and do what's right and what I feel is right for my future."
Sean Lowe, Jake Pavelka and Melissa Rycroft have all done both shows.
Chris will be competing against the likes of Michael Sam, Suzanne Somers, Rumer Willis and Patti LaBelle. The full cast is here.
