If Sam Smith's "Lay Me Down" didn't already have you feeling so many feelings, this version will absolutely have you bowing down to the British crooner.
He and Oscar winner John Legend rerecorded Sam's In the Lonely Hour single for the upcoming Comic Relief special. The track, which will serve as the official single for Red Nose Day, a British charity where residents wear clown noses to help raise awareness and funds for Comic Relief.
The video released with the updated version shows images of the musicians working in the studio juxtaposed with footage of children from one of the African communities the Comic Relief program benefits. Both artists will perform the ballad together for the first and only time on Comic Relief – Face the Funny on Friday, March 13, on BBC One.
Both Grammy winners are foregoing receiving any royalties from the song and will instead donate all profits to Comic Relief.
