Like mother, like daughter!

Christie Brinkley's gorgeous girl Sailor Brinkley-Cook proved she isn't slowing down in the modeling business anytime soon. In fact, the 16-year-old blonde headed to New York City this past Saturday to model in Lord & Taylor's Prom Fashion Show.

Wearing a sleeveless white crop top with a bright coral high-waisted skirt, the famous daughter worked the cameras as she completed her look with a pair of tan heels.

"My Beautiful, Classy, Fierce, and sassy Sailor was such a star today!" Christie wrote on Instagram after the event was held on 5th Avenue. "@sailorbrinkleycook @lordandtaylor"

It's only the latest project for a high school student that continues to make her mark in the modeling and fashion industry.

At such a young age, Sailor has already graced the covers of Hamptons magazine and Bella NYC. And just last year, the fresh face signed with the agency IMG Models.

While some may be quick to suspect it was the Brinkley name that helped Sailor get her name out there, the fashionista believes that's not the only reason she's found success.

"It got my foot in the modeling world, but otherwise it's pretty normal," Sailor admitted to Hamptons magazine. "As much as people say we're twins, I don't think I look like my mom that much, so I think I can make my own identity in the modeling industry."

And wherever Sailor's career takes her next, Christie will happily be there for any support or guidance her beautiful daughter needs.

"Nowadays, you also have to be aware of the dark part of modeling that comes along with the shiny, light, bright, happy part," she confessed. "I always say to them: To whom much is given, much is expected. I also let them know when bad things happen to you, which they always do, the best way to overcome them is to help someone who is in more need than you."
