How in the world did Tom Hanks land a gig in Carly Rae Jepsen's new music video for "I Really Like You"?!
"I'm telling you, it was just all like a fluke," Hanks joked to E! News last night at the An Evening of SeriousFun gala in NYC.
The Oscar winner says he agreed to be in the music video before he even knew which singer it was for. "I didn't know it was Carly Rae Jepsen. They were like, ‘Would you like to do Carly's video?' And I said, ‘Yeah, sure!' And then I found out later the whole name," the 58-year-old revealed. "She's a nice girl. We had a good time."
Hanks and Jepsen filmed the music video about two weeks ago in NYC. The duo were even photographed having a blast while filming dance scenes on the street surrounded by backup dancers.
So how much did Hanks get paid for the musical gig?
"One word: gratis," he cracked. "I received no remuneration for it. I got a free sandwich at lunchtime, that was about it. No complaints."
LOL! Watch the clip for yourself.
