It might be time for Prince Harry to update his résumé!

On Friday, the London Evening Standard newspaper reported that the 30-year-old royal plans to leave the armed forces later this year in order to focus on his charity work. Harry will reportedly spend "a significant period abroad" working on field projects in Africa, pursue his interests in "conservation and wildlife" and continue to focus on programs helping injured military personnel.

The Evening Standard also reported that before Harry's active military duties end, he will move to Australia for "several weeks" to serve with units there and will later spend time in New Zealand, but not be involved with military there.

A Kensington Palace spokesman would neither confirm nor deny these reports, telling E! News in a statement: "Prince Harry is currently focussed on his work supporting the MoD's [Ministry of Defense] recovery capability programme to ensure those who are wounded injured or sick have appropriate recovery plans and the necessary support thy require. It's a natural progression from the work he did organising the Invictus Games. This involves working alongside case officers in London District's Personal Recovery Unit and visiting various recovery centres and partner agencies (like Forces charities and the NHS) around the country."

A source tells E! News that the military will always play a very important role in the prince's life. He will continue supporting those who have served or are serving in the Armed Forces, this being "a topic he is passionate about both personally and professional...He feels he can use his position to help in the future, regardless of his military role."
