Kelly Clarkson is the queen of singing songs about love lost, found and everything in between, but when it comes to her own personal life it's a very different story.

The "Heartbeat Song" singer reveals to Terry Smith in an interview with CBS Sunday Morning With Charles Osgood that her husband, Brandon Blackstock, was the very first person she said I love you to and meant it.

"He was the first guy I …said it [to] – and wanted to say it," Clarkson tells Smith. "I didn't feel like I had to. Because, like, 'Oh, that's what you have to do when you say it.'"

Although she waited to say it to her husband and now co-parent of daughter River Rose, Clarkson has no regrets despite maybe having hurt other people's feelings.

"Yeah, yeah, that's the first time that happened," she adds. "That's horrible. But it's true. And that's how – what it is."

Now that she is happily married, incredibly successful and has the most adorable daughter of all time, Clarkson admits that she didn't know if she would ever meet "The One" because she witnessed several divorces.

"I never thought honestly I would get married or fall in 'love', like they say in the movies," Clarkson says. "You know, I never thought that would happen. And, not so because I didn't think it was true."

She adds that marriage just wasn't an idea that she "presented" with while growing up in her family's household.

"I just didn't know if it was possible," she continues.

The American Idol winner and hopeless romantic has been spoiling fans recently by consistently dropping new tracks off her upcoming album, Piece by Piece, ahead of its release, and the lyrics regarding relationships and love won't disappoint her fans! Her latest release, "Take You High," tricks you into thinking it's a slow melody but then BAM! It turns into a dance anthem.

"We don't know where this is going now/ But I'm feeling love for you/ I'm feeling something new yeah yeah..." she croons.
