Seems like every good series finale has been jumping ahead to the future lately (See: Parenthood, Parks and Recreation), and now Glee is doing it, too!

Sources confirm to E! News that in the final episodes of the Fox series, Glee will travel back to the year the show began, 2009, and then flash forward to the year 2020.

Jane Lynch broke the news on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live , adding that the photo that Lea Michele tweeted (above) was a big musical umber in which the cast performed a song called, "I Lived." "Everybody came," she added. "Everbody that was in the show who wanted to come was invited."

Lynch added that the final day of shooting was "brutal," something Chord Overstreet expanded on to E! News' Marc Malkin.  "Everybody was balling and all of a sudden I couldn't stop laughing," the artist otherwise known as Sam recalled. "And then everybody started laughing and we couldn't stop laughing. It was so infectious and it was so amazing. It was one of the best experiences in my life."

Fox threw a "carnival party" on the Paramount Studios lot to mark the end of the show, and Overstreet said the cast ended the night by talking for two hours. "It was one of those things where I couldn't stop smiling," he said. "There were tears and there was laughter. It was every emotion you could think of."
