InstagramUPDATE: Chrissy finally posted pics of her newly ravenesque locks to Instagram (the color is really a deep brunette hue). It seems like the hair swap may be for a sexy beachside photo-shoot, as the star posted a mid-shoot snapshot as well.

Surprise! Chrissy Teigen is getting her hair dyed dark and sharing the process (in real time, y'all) with her followers on Instagram.
"LOOK WHAT IS HAPPENING," the obviously super-excited star wrote alongside the snapshot, which shows what looks to be black dye setting into her normally lighter locks. Chrissy has been rocking a blond look over the last year, although she has opted for rich brunette hues in the past.
We're psyched for the model too, since we're pretty sure she can carry any hair color and still look, well, hot (that said, Teigen has yet to try a red tint).
The star most recently showed off her glam (per usual) blond locks at the 2015 Oscars, which she attended alongside hubby (and one of the night's winners) John Legend. Teigen stunned in a pale-blue, high-slit Zuhair Murad number with intricate beading along the bodice and a sexy, cut-to-there neckline.
We'll keep you posted about the exact shade of her hair post-dye job, but best believe Chrissy will look good in whatever color comes out.
