The best moment from tonight's Agent Carter finale is not the one you'd expect!

When E! News caught up with Agent Carter executive producers Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters, we asked the two showrunners to choose their favorite moment from the episode...and while there is plenty of kickass action for them to choose from, they actually chose less intense, more emotional moments.

"My favorite scene is actually a very quiet scene, and it's the last scene that Peggy [Hayley Atwell] and Jarvis [James D'Arcy] have in the episode," Fazekas says. "They're so lovely together and they have such a nice and quiet chemistry. It's all about restraint and what's not being said. The way it's shot and the way the actors performed it is one of my favorite things I've ever written for anything. And then we got to add in a great song to it. So I love that scene."

Butters agrees, adding that everyone on the cast will each get moments like that in the epic finale in addition to all the great action sequences.

"I love the fact that if we did our job right, there are big fun moments mixed with very emotional moments," Butters says. "And everyone gets their own moment in this episode. For good or for bad, everyone, even Thompson [Chad Michael Murray], has a moment, even if it's not what you would call a 'heroic' moment. Thompson has a character defining moment, that's how I'd call it."

What both showrunners love is how after Peggy finally came clean about what she's been up to all season long behind the SSR's back, as well as putting all her male coworkers in their places for underestimating her ever since she came back from the war, the team is finally all working together for the first time.

"It was hard to sustain her keeping this secret from people who are smart," Fazekas says of Peggy keeping her competence a secret from everyone at work. "Being able to let go of all that and let go of all the secrets on that end was really creatively very satisfying. We had already seen different characters starting to trip towards respecting her in different ways, but it was satisfying to finally get to that moment."

And that only means good things for the SSR, and bad things for the bad guys.

"It's great because we finally get that episode where they're all working towards the same common goal, and they're working as a team," Butters says. "Dooley's [Shea Whigham] death galvanizes and focuses them in a way where you can't let these little petty bickering or presumptions cloud your vision. In the finale, they don't have time for that. Because there's a time clock on what's going to happen and what they have to do, they don't have time to mess around anymore. They're finally working as a team."

Agent Carter's season finale airs Tuesday at 9 p.m. on ABC.
