The Lego Movie came to life on the Oscars stage tonight!

In the second musical number of the evening, Tegan and Sara were joined by, well, everyone, for a performance of "Everything Is Awesome." And, they took the Lego theme very literally.

The number started off with a Lego choir singing the first bars of the song, before the musical duo appeared on a totally trippy set. Then, Andy Samberg and his pals from The Lonely Island jumped in to rap as dancers in all kinds of crazy costumes broke it down on stage.

But Tegan and Sara and The Lonely Island weren't the only stars to get in on the fun. Oprah had a cameo when she received a Lego Oscar statue, Questlove joined in on the drums, and then surprise guest Will Arnett showed up to jam on the guitar as his Lego Movie character Batman. This A-list group also got some help from more than a few wild graphics and life-size Lego props. Think of it as Yo Gabba Gabba-meets-rave.

If you're wondering just what to think about that combination, you're not alone. Many viewers had strong feelings about the performance, ranging from raving reviews to "WTF."

But despite everything, the performance certainly has high chances of being the most energetic of the evening, and it served as a great reminder of just how, ahem, awesome The Lego Movie is. Maybe there's still time for the Academy to reconsider that snub.
