InstagramDrew Barrymore is spending her 40th birthday the best way we know how: soaking up the sun on a beach with close friends and family.
The actress turned makeup mogul snapped a selfie in honor of her special day, showing her grinning from ear-to-ear after taking a dip in the ocean, with the caption "#forty."
And considering most of the country is under a few feet of snow, we gotta say we're having a serious case of FOMO after looking at the mother of two's sun-filled snapshot.
Rest and relaxation presumably doesn't come very often for the busy star, who balances a film career with motherhood, a cosmetic line and a production company.
During a recent interview with the Today show, Barrymore admitted that she's going to be acting "less and less" as her adorable daughters get older.
"It's hard to be present when you wake up before them and come home after they've gone to bed," she explained on the morning show.
"That's just not the way I want to have this journey with my kids at this point in their life. But maybe when they're older, I will feel differently."
She also shared that she's been looking forward to turning 40 for a while now, saying, "I'm so relieved to be 40. I've already started saying I'm 40 and my husband's like, 'Honey, you're still 39. Why are you saying you're 40?'... I'm just so excited! It feels good. It feels right."
